Women's Hoops lose 13 straight
 

The women’s basketball team have been having a rough season with only two victories.  Most of their losses came by double digits as they have lost thirteen straight games. Their last win came all the way back on December 1, 2006.

Their last game was Sunday Feb. 4 against Mitchell College. They went down in defeat by a score of 70-44, their twelfth double-digit loss of the season.

The leading scorer and rebounder on the team is Stacey Hardnett, who is averaging 13.3 points a game and 12.0 rebounds. The second leading scorer and rebounder on the team is Shanee Pierce, who is averaging 11.9 points a game and 7.8 rebounds.

Their two wins came early in the season against Cazenovia College and Russell Sage College.

    The win against Cazenovia was only by one point. Shanee Pierce led the team with 26 points and 15 rebounds and, Stacey Hardnett followed her with 15 points and 11 rebounds. As the Mustangs squeaked by with a one point victory.

   The win against Russell Sage College was a double digit victory. Shanee Peirce led the game with 19 points and 11 rebounds, and Stacey Hardnett followed her with 10 points and grabbing 12 boards. The Mustangs out scored them in both halves and won 51-39.

   With just two wins this season, and not many games ahead, the Mustangs will be looking toward next season, hoping for higher expectations.
