Pat Hooker, ’82, spoke last Tuesday at the Destination Days admission event for the School of Agriculture & Natural Resources in the STUAC Theater. Hooker is the newly appointed commissioner of the New York State Department of Agriculture & Markets. While laying out the department’s initiatives under Gov. Eliot Spitzer, he endorsed the college’s hands-on approach to technical education and its move to four-year degree programs.
