Colvin's departure

This is Erin Colvin’s seventh academic year as a counselor with the Education Opportunity Program at Morrisville State College–and her last. She has taken a new job with St. Lawrence University and left her post here last week.

The first-ever SUNY & Sustainability conference concluded Nov. 14  in Saratoga Springs, NY as representatives from all of the 64 State University of New York campuses discussed sustainable projects energy throughout the world's largest public higher education system.

Trading Places with: a writer on strike

If I were to trade places with a Hollywood writer on strike, I’d probably construct a tar-paper shack and stay on strike for good. Most of these people are getting more national attention now than they ever did writing for “Desperate Housewives.” And don’t give me that nonsense about the credits at the end of shows. Do you watch those and read every writer’s name? I rest my case.

It’s been 28 years since The Eagles have produced a new album, and they have managed to come back with the same soul and passion they had when they first began.

Dylan's performance keeps legend alive

Bob Dylan, the legendary musician and songwriter who began his career in the 1960s, continued to influence popular music to this day. He recently completed a two-month concert tour that included an Oct. 9 performance at Gordon Field House at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY.

rough start

 The swimming and diving teams began their season with a difficult start, currently holding a record of 0-6 for the women’s team and 1-5 for the men’s. 

Men's basketball loses to Plattsburgh

The Men’s basketball team lost a tough game to SUNY Plattsburgh Friday, Nov. 30, finishing with a score of 111-69.
