Fly For Fun, or commonly known as Flyff, is an addicting, and free to play, MMORPG, or massively multiplayer online role playing game. The characters themselves are highly inspired by anime, and are generally colorful and detailed. It might bug you a bit that regardless of your class, your avatar will always resemble a little kid in stature, but that’s what makes this game so adorable.

The most awaited for upgrade is the introduction of a new training ground. This new area is called Azria. By purchasing a ticket from the Premium Shop, you can go to this new region that’s filled with mid to high-level monsters. Monsters in Azria are in level 73~115 and give 20% more EXP than regular Monsters. All Monsters in Azria are non-aggressive, meaning there are no “agros” to attack you from behind without warning.

There is also a new collecting system within the V11 release. Items can be collected in certain areas using the Collector, which requires Batteries to work.
Collectors and Batteries can be purchased from [Collecting Manager] Collins in every collecting area. You can collect pieces of items, and by collecting 10 of those pieces you can take them to Collins and trade them for the complete item.

One of the upgrades that I have been waiting for is the upgrading of jewelry. Instead of using sunstones to upgrade like you do with armor and weapons, you use moonstones. You can upgrade them to a max of +20 instead of +10. Also, jewelry will no longer have a level requirement. You can also now remove whatever piercing you have on your armor. With the new item awakening system you can go to BoBoChan in Flaris to bring out the hidden attributes in your weapon/armor. Also, if you are not happy with the awakening, you can purchase a Scroll of Reversion to revert it back to normal before the awakening.

There is also a new PvP (player versus player) arena. Characters can battle each other without any penalties in this area, loosing exp for example. The crappy thing about the new arena though is that the aoe (area of effect) attacks can damage everyone in range. There is also a NPC in the area that sells items that are needed for combat.

For those who complain about there not being enough costume choices, there has been another whole new set added for those who reached level 120. It looks similar to the Blood set for all of the characters. In order to obtain this set, you need some Red Chips, which you can get from winning guild siege matches. Batteries, a backpack to increase the number of inventory slots, and now pet revival scrolls for pets classes B-S can be bought in the premium shop.

Other side upgrades to the game include a long distance camera view, a messenger that displays more information about your friends and guild members, a guild bank log, and a private shop transaction history is displayed. You can now attack a monster and view another monster's information without auto attacking disabling. There is a new currency which enables you to change 100 million penya to 1 perin. The armor sets will now be unified according to level and names. A level 60 armor set will have the same name for both male and female but with a (M) or (F) next to it stating which gender it is for. Item durability will be removed, meaning it will not break because it was used for a long period so you don’t have to pay that ton of penya to repair it.

All in all, this new version should bring back some of those who were disturbed and quit the game when v9 came. Happy Flyffing!
