Katie Tiffany is a second-year Morrisville State College student. She has played goal for the women's soccer team since enrolling here. Tiffany grew up in DeRuyter, NY, a town right around Morrisville. She graduated from DeRuyter high school in 2006. She said she has been playing soccer since she was five
years old. “I have a love for the game and that is what has made me stay
with soccer for as long as I have,” Tiffany said. Tifinie-Lyn Cole, another senior and fellow teammate of Katie, had nothing, but good to say about her. “I think that Katie is an amazing goalie and never gives up,” Cole said. Cole said no matter how many goals go in, Katie “works her butt off out there and never gives up.” Cole said Katie has so much energy and is always supporting the team. “She is always encouraging us to step it up and not give up,” said Cole. “All around, she's an amazing keeper and person who has a great amount of energy and enthusiasm,” Cole said. “I'm glad I got a chance to play on the team with her.” Head coach Christopher Perkins also commented about Katie’s commitment. He said that she is very important to the team, is spirited, full of energy, tough, “coach-able” and takes responsibility for her play. “Most importantly, she is a role model and leader on the field because she gives 100 percent,” Perkins said. |
