A Morrisville student was arrested last Wednesday night for sexual misconduct and criminal trespass in connection with an alleged incident with a female student in Helyar Hall.

Raheem Cox, a second-year Individual Studies major, was charged during his arraignment on Sept. 27 at the Morrisville Village Court, said Jessica Decerce, director of public relations. Both charges are misdemeanors in the first degree.

Cox is currently in Madison County Jail in Wampsville, NY, said Colleen Stella. He will remain in jail until his bail for $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond is posted.

Cox’s next court appearance is set for Oct. 10.
