The new Morrisville State College coffee shop opened early this semester to provide students and campus employees with a place to hang out and eat healthy. Students go to Smooth Jazzy Joz (pronounced Jazzy Joe's) to “hang out”, said General Manager of MAC Glenn Gaslin. “It’s something different than Seneca,” said Gaslin. At Smooth Jazzy Joz you can use your dining points to buy your coffee and bagel. The coffee shop has the “Best Coffee”, said Gaslin. The coffee is Green Mountain made in Burlington, Vermont. “It is our own private Starbucks,” said students Andrew Mills and Sam Arcuri. Jazzy Joz also uses the college’s homemade ice cream. They have four flavors right now, but would like some suggestions from students to make up different flavors of ice cream that the students would enjoy. Most students get milkshakes. Smooth Jazzy Joz has been busy ever since it opened. Some students don’t know about it, but when they walk into STUAC, they stop by for something to drink, said Gaslin. Students can also work at Smooth Jazzy Joz. It is a good working place and is flexible around student’s schedules, said Gaslin. “I love working here,” said worker Joanne Morgan. |
